Baby, It's Cold Outside
It is that time of year when we check the news each evening for freeze warnings and cover our plants. Very young and senior animal family members are most effected by dramatic temperatures, but please, remember that our canine and feline friends of all ages need a warm, soft, and dry area of their own.

My Pet Walk!
February 21, 2010: Please join us this year for the second annual PetSmart Charities Petwalk on February 21, 2010. Registration is at 1PM and the walk begins at 2:30PM. Last year's walk was a lot of fun and we raised a lot of money to help the homeless dogs and cats in our care as they wait for their forever homes. You can help us out by making a donation to help us achieve our goal, or you can join as a participant and set your own personal goal, or you can do both! This year's event promises to be as fun as last year's event, so we hope you can participate either with a donation or by walking and setting a personal fundraising goal. 100% of the money raised by Friends for Life walkers goes to our shelter. 2010 Furry Tails Can Come True!
February 27th, 2010: Please join us for an evening of celebration including hosted cocktail hour, silent and live auctions, dinner and dancing to help raise funds that will allow us to rescue and provide medical attention for homeless animals through the 2010 summer season.
As a direct result of Furry Tails Can Come True 2009, Chance was able to be rescued in the summer of 2009. Chance is an American Bull Dog mix, who at the time of his rescue, was about 4 months old and was wandering the streets alone. He had an extremely severe case of mange, had lost most of his hair. He was covered in scabs and had blistered all of his paws. His recovery has taken nearly 3 months, but we're delighted to say that Chance is truly getting a second chance thanks to the wonderful supporters of Friends for Life, and Furry Tails Can Come True!

Stop by the Friends for Life Adoption Center in Gilbert during regular business hours to check out the wide variety of brand new collars and leashes available for a $5.00-$10.00 donation. Choose from nylon, leather or bling! These items were donated so 100% of the proceeds will directly benefit the homeless animals.
